Use XOR with
Use XOR with other apps
Grok, OpenCode, VS Code, Devin Desktop, Zed, and any other app that supports MCP.
Any app that supports remote MCP servers can use XOR. Add the address, call it XOR, and sign in with your email when the app asks:
https://systemofreason.com/mcp
If an app can’t open a sign-in page, give it an access key as a bearer token: the header Authorization: Bearer <your key>.
Grok
On grok.com, open Connectors, choose New Connector, then Custom, and paste the address. On Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector first. If Grok asks for a client ID and secret instead of opening our sign-in page, its web connectors can’t sign in to XOR yet; use Grok’s command-line tool instead.
Grok’s command-line tool takes one command, and signs in through your browser:
grok mcp add --transport http xor https://systemofreason.com/mcp
OpenCode
Add XOR to opencode.json in your project, or to ~/.config/opencode/opencode.json for every project:
{
"mcp": {
"xor": { "type": "remote", "url": "https://systemofreason.com/mcp" }
}
}
OpenCode asks you to sign in the first time it uses XOR, or run opencode mcp auth xor. Newer versions also take opencode mcp add xor --url https://systemofreason.com/mcp.
VS Code
With GitHub Copilot: open the Command Palette, run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste the address, name it xor and choose Global. A browser window opens to sign in the first time it connects. On Copilot Business and Enterprise, an admin has to allow MCP servers first.
Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf)
Run this in a terminal, then sign in when asked, or with devin mcp login xor:
devin mcp add -s user xor https://systemofreason.com/mcp
Zed
Open Settings, then AI, then MCP Servers. Choose Add Server, then Add Remote Server, and paste the address. Zed asks you to sign in.
Anything else
Look in the app’s settings for “MCP servers”, “connectors” or “tools”, and add a remote server with the address. If you get stuck, write to support@systemofreason.com and tell us which app.
