Limits

The rates, sizes and time limits, and what happens when something reaches one.

Rates

  • 600 tool calls a minute for each connected app or access key.
  • 60 web requests a minute per account, from http and schedules together.
  • 20 emails a day from email_me, only to the account’s own sign-in address.

Before the first top-up

An account that has never added credit can keep up to 10 things and 100 MB, make 100 web requests a day, and can’t run background agents. Any credit lifts all of it.

Sizes

Thing Limit
Store Keys up to 512 bytes; values up to 1 MiB of JSON.
Database Up to 1 GB each. Results stop at 500 rows or 1 MiB; page with LIMIT and OFFSET. A batch runs up to 50 statements.
File Up to 1 MiB inline with put and get; up to 100 MiB with an upload link or a raw PUT.
Web request Body up to 1 MB, 30-second timeout, up to 5 redirects, public internet only, on ports 80 and 443.
Inbox Bodies up to 1 MB, 60 events a minute. Events are kept 30 days, at most 10,000 and 100 MB per inbox.
Schedule At most every 5 minutes. The last 100 runs are kept.
Background agent Per run: 30 tool calls, 5 minutes, and its per-run budget ($0.50 unless set, at most $5). Per month: its monthly budget ($5 unless set). A run is skipped when either budget can’t pay for its first turn, about $0.07 for a short job.
Secret 8 to 4,096 characters, up to 20 allowed sites.

At the edges

  • Deleted things are kept 7 days, then purged for good.
  • Out of credit or at the monthly limit, everything turns read-only: reads work, writes return read_only, schedules skip their runs without charge, and inboxes answer 503 so senders retry later. Nothing is deleted. Background agents always use credit, so when credit runs low their runs are skipped without charge, even while the free allowance lasts.
  • A schedule that fails 10 times in a row pauses and emails the owner. An agent pauses after 5 failed or stopped runs in a row. Skipped runs don’t count, nor do runs stopped by its monthly budget or the account’s credit.
  • A key at its cap gets limit_reached until next month or until its cap is raised.
